**Forming Newcomers Welcome Committee**
Our committee will run 3-4 Meet and Greet events per year, review and continue to update our Welcome Center Packet, drop off Welcome Treats at homes, and ???other things. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Welcome Committee, please plan to attend our initial meeting on January 3rd, from 3 to 5pm at the Welcome Center. If you cannot attend that meeting, please call Twila Yednock at 931-839-2677 to be added to our membership and notified of the next meeting.
All newcomers please note: Our first Meet and Greet is scheduled for February 28th from 5pm-7pm.
If you have moved to the Cove in the past couple years, or are planning to move here and will be in the area, please mark your calendars to attend. RSVLPs will be to the office number (931-839-2926). There will be further announcements.
NEW All Call System:To all members: The new all call system will accommodate out of area phone numbers and cell phones. In addition, the new system can send the phone message via email as well. If you would like to be added, deleted, or to change the phone number that is currently being called, you can fill out an All Call request form at the Welcome Center or send via email to email@example.com. If sending by email, please include your name, address, phone number and indicate whether this is a change to an existing number. ONLY one phone number can be used per household.
**2018 ELECTION RESULTS**
National Fire Protection Association: From Jon Brasseur: We received an email from NFPA recognizing Cumberland Cove with 15 years of continuous Firewise certification. That's a big deal as the Cove was the first Firewise community in Tennessee from what I've been told. Here's a copy of the email:

Reminder -Helping Hands:
Helping Hands can always use medical equipment such as walkers, wheel chairs, shower chairs, and bedside commodes. Storage is at a premium. If you have something you could lend for a while, but get back, or if you have room for storing items, please notify Pat and Steve Miko or Dot Jones.
*** VOLUNTEERS! ***: Do you have expertise in certain fields or just interested in lending a hand from time to time? Volunteering on Cove committees is a wonderful way to get to know your neighbors as well as helping our community. Click on the POA GOVERNANCE menu item and then BOARD & COMMITTEES to see some of the committees that would currently like your help (including Budget, Elections, Policies and Procedures, Parks and Trails, etc.). Then think how you would like to help, and give a call or stop in at the Welcome Center.
*** Cove Equipment ***: Cove Assets and equipment are for official Cove use only. Chain saws, the tractor,
the truck, and any equipment used by committees are for their offical use only. Individuals may NOT borrow the equipment for their personal
use. Equipment at the POA office including chairs and tables can only be used on premises...they cannot be loaned for off-site use, per the current Welcome Center Usage Agreement.
